CONSTRUCTION ALERT
Beginning June 25, 2007 the following traffic impacts will be in effect:
Congress Street, between North Toole Avenue and 5th Avenue will be closed. This closure is expected to be in place through the end of the year.
Toole Avenue, between 4th Avenue and Broadway will be closed through the end of the year.
Westbound Broadway traffic, between Barraza-Aviation Parkway and 5th Avenue, will share travel lanes with eastbound Broadway. At 5th Avenue, westbound Broadway traffic will be redirected onto Congress Street. This traffic detour is scheduled to be in place through December 2007.
4th Avenue Underpass will be closed to vehicular traffic. Pedestrians will be able to continue using the underpass until July 23, 2007.
Fourth Avenue businesses can be reached by using 6th Street.
South Toole will be closed between Broadway and 12th Street for approximately 2 months (weather permitting). Motorists needing access to the area should use either Euclid/Park to 18th Street or 5th Avenue south to 12th Street.
Left turn movements, from east or westbound Broadway, onto 5th Avenue, will not be allowed.
North Toole will remain open and can be accessed from westbound Broadway by traveling north on 5th Avenue to Toole. Eastbound Broadway can reach North Toole by traveling north on 6th Avenue to Pennington, then east to Toole.
The sidewalk along the north side of Broadway, between S. Toole and Barraza-Aviation Parkway, will be closed through the end of the year.
Sidewalk improvements and streetlight installation is underway along 8th Street between 4th and 6th Avenues. These improvements will cause only minor traffic impacts. Work is expected to be completed by July 20, 2007
Parking is available at the Pennington Street Garage. The entrance to the garage is located on Scott, just north of Congress Street.
ACCESS TO BUSINESSES WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION AREA WILL BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES
Motorists, bicyclist and pedestrians, please be cautious, obey all posted construction signage, reduced speed limits and remember to share the road.

Tucson Children's Museum is located 3 blocks south of the Downtown Ronstadt Transit Center.
The Closest SunTran bus stop to the Museum is right across the street. The bus stops just at the corner of Armory Park!

DIRECTIONS From the East: Take Broadway Blvd. WEST into downtown. (Broadway becomes Congress in the downtown area) Turn LEFT (south) on Scott Avenue. Travel 3 blocks to 13th St. (The red brick building on your left is the Museum.) Make a LEFT and that will bring you to S. 6th Avenue for parking in the front..
From the North:Take the I-10 Frontage Road to CONGRESS. Make a LEFT on Congress (Broadway Blvd.) to Scott Avenue. Turn RIGHT (south) on Scott and travel two blocks. (The red brick building on your left is the Museum.) Make a LEFT and that will bring you to S. 6th Avenue for parking in the front.
OR
Take STONE into downtown Tucson. Make a LEFT on Broadway. Stay on your right-hand side and make a RIGHT at the next light (Scott Ave.) Travel 2 blocks (to 13th St.) to 13th St. (The red brick building on your left is the Museum.) Make a LEFT and that will bring you to S. 6th Avenue for parking in the front.
From the West: Travel EAST on Congress (Broadway Blvd.) to Scott Avenue. Turn RIGHT (south) on Scott and travel two blocks until you see the red brick building (Museum) on your left. Make a LEFT and that will bring you to S. 6th Avenue for parking in the front.
From the South: Travel NORTH on S. 6th Avenue until you reach 13th St. (The Museum is between 13th and 12th Street.) You will see the front of the Museum on your left with metered parking available.
The Museum DOES NOT have a parking lot. METERED Parking is available around the Museum.
